Hi. My name is Shaun.
Never been president. But if I were, this would be my portrait.
Actor/musician Jack Black once berated me for a really bad joke that fell flat during a phone interview. That was how my professional writing career began.
Thankfully it didn’t end there.
For more than a decade, I worked as an award-winning journalist, covering just about every kind of story possible. From drug-related homicides to elementary school talent shows, I burned shoe leather for front page headlines.
But a chance to try my hand at something else and follow my interest in cars led to working in PR and advertising.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work on accounts for Ford Motor Co. and GMC, as well as automotive suppliers and the state of Michigan’s travel and economic development offices.
When I’m not working, I enjoy painting, writing short stories and finding new reasons to buy old books and records.
